Ruben M. Montejano

Ruben Michael Montejano has been an advocate for voting and electoral reform since he became politically engaged in 2018. He has promoted important electoral reforms that empower the electorate and increase the diversity in government including reforms like increases in legislature size, reforming the voting method, and Proportional Representation. He helped start-up the STAR Voting California Chapter and continues to facilitate their work. Furthermore, he has become a board director for the Equal Vote Coalition, a non-profit voting reform organization that advocates for multiple voting reform methods as well as supports Proportional Representation, and as of the creation of this bio is the President of STAR Voting Action.

Ruben has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and as his day job helps individuals reduce their developmental gaps as well as helps teach them techniques to manage their behaviors as a Behavior Interventionist.
